Founded in December 2001, Thurgau Travel AG developed within a few years into one of the leading Swiss providers of river cruises all over the world. Thurgau Travel places great value on innovation and exclusivity, but also on an excellent price / performance ratio. The holiday guests should not only benefit from the high quality and good service on board, but also from the advantageous prices and the wide range of offers. A pioneering spirit, competence, good relationships with shipping companies and many years of experience are what make this young travel agent so successful. Together with their 30-strong team, the Kaufmann family, as the owners of Thurgau Travel, always succeeds in offering absolute novelties from the world of river cruises and discovering new, previously unknown waterways. Mention should be made of the first river cruises on the lower Mekong, the first western riverboat in Kaliningrad / Königsberg, Russia, the first river and coastal cruises in Dalmatia or our own ships in Burma and Prague, where we were also able to develop a new sailing area. In the meantime, the generation change in management has taken place. Daniel Pauli-Kaufmann has taken over the position of managing director and replaces Hans Kaufmann, who will remain with Thurgau Travel AG as Chairman of the Board of Directors. This means that he can continue to optimally provide his extensive know-how. Other family members are responsible for Human Resources and Onboard Operation as well as the products in Burma and the Czech Republic on site within Thurgau Travel AG. All operational family members are also members of the Board of Directors. This guarantees the continued existence of the independent Thurgau Travel AG and the continuation of the previous company philosophy. The extensive range currently includes over 70 destinations on over 45 rivers and bodies of water with over 40 ships. Other interesting and surprising projects are already in progress.
